MAN UP MONDAY
Loving Broken People.
We have all encountered broken people. They can be angry, abusive, petty, negative, judgmental and bitter but they’re always hurt.
It takes real love to love broken people. But the truth is: If you can’t love brokenness then you can’t love at all.
Because we’re all broken.
We’ve all been hurt. We’re all capable of being angry, abusive, petty, negative, judgmental and bitter. That’s what being hurt can do to you. It can make you cynical and mean. And we’ve all been there.
We’ve all heard the phrase “Hurt people, hurt people.” But the question is, are you helping those who have been hurt or condemning them?
So the next time you speak harsh words about a racist or a murderer or a child molestor or a rapist, or a crazy co-worker or an abusive boss, stop and ask yourself: Who hurt them? What happened to make them this way….
And is my attitude helping?
Remember this…
Every time you choose to love, you become an instrument of God’s transformation. Because God is love.
Every time you accuse someone, you become like Satan. (Whose name literally means “Accuser”)
Think About it…
